Applied Material Solutions (AMS) of Elkhorn, Wisconsin, was assisted by Stevenson & Company in its acquisition of Performance Process Inc. (PPI) which has manufacturing facilities in Mundelein, IL and Atlan-ta, GA.

AMS engaged Stevenson & Company to help identify and approach select businesses in the specialty chemicals industry. One area of particular interest to AMS was strengthening its position in the antifoam and defoamer market, already represented by its acquisition of Trans-Chemco, Inc. in 2013. These products are commonly used to reduce or eliminate foam in food processing, chemical manufacturing, industrial applications, waste water treatment and paper manufacturing.

Performance Process Inc. was identified as an excellent strategic fit for AMS. PPI offers additional proprietary products in both liquid and powder form, entry into new markets, increased production capacity and an experienced team of managers and employees.
