Stevenson & Company recently completed the sale of Cadaco, a division of Rapid Displays, Inc., to POOF®-Slinky®, Inc., a strategic buyer. The combination expands the company’s product line providing more diversity of products to its retail customers.
Cadaco is a 75 year old award winning marketer and manufacturer of quality toys and games located in Chicago, Illinois. Cadaco is best known for its classic Tripoley board games, the Ryan Oakes Magic line, and EnviroBLOX environmentally friendly building blocks.
POOF®-Slinky®, Inc. is best known for its POOF® branded line of foam balls and for the original Slinky® walking spring toys. It also manufactures Ideal® board games and Innovative by Nature® brand toys. It has been in business for over 60 years and serves customers around the globe.
Stevenson identified POOF®-Slinky®, Inc. as an attractive buyer that was known to purchase niche’ style products to enhance its already impressive line of toys and table top games.
This transaction accomplished the objectives of both parties by providing additional capital for Cadaco’s parent company to deploy in its core business while adding innovative and established products to enhance the POOF®-Slinky® line. With the help of a dedicated management team and other professional advisors the purchase agreement was negotiated, due diligence completed and the transaction successfully closed.
