Stevenson completes sale of Capital Scrap Metals, LLC

Capital Scrap Metals, LLC (Capital Scrap) and Dumpster King, Inc. were sold to SA Recycling, LLC. Stevenson & Company was the exclusive sale advisor to Capital Scrap and Dumpster King.
Capital Scrap is a metal recycling company which primarily purchases, processes and sells ferrous and non-ferrous metals including iron, steel, copper and aluminum. Founded in 2005, the company has over 100 employees. It operates its flagship scrap yard in Pompano Beach, FL, with additional scrap yards in West Palm Beach and Stuart FL. Dumpster King is a supplier of roll-off dumpsters used by various entities to collect and deliver scrap materials to recycling companies. Capital Scrap purchases its materials from a variety of sources including peddlers, industrial users and utilities. The materials are disassembled, sorted and consolidated by category and then sold to steel mills, exporters and other larger scrap consolidators. Approximately 50% of recycled materials are ultimately exported to Latin America and Asia.
SA Recycling operates over eighty scrap metal processing facilities from coast to coast including fourteen shredders and three port loading operations. The Orange, California based company is headed by CEO George Adams and is a joint venture between Adams Steel and Sims Metal Management.
The acquisition of Capital Scrap Metal represents the first locations for SA Recycling in Florida and its access to Latin American export markets.
