Flow Valves International (FVI), manufacturer of Syntron^® Iris Flow Valves has been sold to Lorenz Conveying Products.  Stevenson & Company was the exclusive sale advisor to Flow Valves International.

FVI manufactures a broad line of iris flow valves used for adjustable control and shut-off of free-flowing powder and bulk materials from bins, hoppers and chutes. Its customers operate in diverse end markets including pharmaceutical, chemical, food and plastics.  The product line was originally developed by FMC Corporation in the 1950’s and the Syntron®  brand name provides instant recognition among customers in the material handling and powder processing industries.  Manufacturing is based in Normal, Illinois.

Lorenz Conveying Products (www.lorenz.ca), headquartered in Colbourg, Ontario, Canada, and founded in 1979, is a leading manufacturer of couplings, tube and pipe bends, fittings, diverter valves, slide gates, cyclones and custom fabricated accessories for pneumatic conveying, vacuum and bulk handling systems.

The addition of the Syntron^®  line of products is very complementary and synergistic to Lorenz with significant cross selling opportunities, broadening the product line and bringing greater value to both companies’ customers.
